INSANITY: THE MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS

Insanity is a personal point-of-view documentary about director Wendy Hill-Tout and her family’s experience with her brother Bruce, who had schizophrenia and disappeared over 25 years ago. It also explores the lives of other families dealing with mental illness. This 75-minute documentary also takes a hard look at our country’s mental health crisis with large numbers living on the streets and in jails. Insanity is a plea to do better as a society – to treat those with a mental illness as human beings and provide appropriate services.

Join us after the film for a discussion panel including Brandy Sand (Program Manager CMHA Niagara), Steve Borisenko (Parent who lost his son to an accidental overdose), and Erin Clayton (Clinical Manager Outreach Services at Pathstone), moderated by Janice Arnoldi (host of Life Unscripted on 610CKTB).

This is a FREE Community Screening — tickets are required.

It all takes place on Tuesday, July 25 at 7:00 pm at The Film House, at First Ontario Performing Arts Centre, 250 St Paul St, St. Catharines.
