In any given year, 1 in 5 people in Niagara will personally experience a mental health concern or illness. The other 4 will love, work with or care for someone with a mental health concern. CMHA Niagara is here to support our local community and the person in your circle who is impacted.
Our organization has served Niagara for over 50 years. Over this period, the demand for service has increased significantly and the benefits of early access to support have become clear. Today, the need for your assistance is larger than ever.
CMHA Niagara receives funding from several sources, including ministries, United Way, and various grants. These funding agreements are specific to particular program intentions and do not always cover the full costs of providing these programs. In addition, the current levels of funding do not allow for expansion to respond to increasing requests for support or flexibility to meet emerging concerns or fill gaps in services available in the community. This is what makes fundraising activities necessary and a priority for CMHA Niagara.
In order to expand, enhance and sustain our services to meet the needs of Niagara residents, we require the financial support of those who believe in our work and recognize the importance of ensuring mental health and addictions services are available to every member of our community.
Making an online donation to CMHA is 100% secure. You will receive acknowledgement of your donation and your official tax receipt by email immediately.
Promote mental health and save taxes with gifts of stock, life insurance, annuities, trusts and bequests.
There are many different ways to make a planned gift. Planned gifts can be tailored to your personal and financial circumstances. The most common type of planned gift is a charitable bequest in a person’s will. However, more and more Canadians are realizing the benefits of giving through methods such as gifts of publicly traded stocks and mutual funds and life insurance policies.
CMHA strongly recommends obtaining professional advice to ensure that your financial goals are considered, your tax situation reviewed and your planned gift is tailored to your circumstances.
