Get ready for an exciting and interactive experience on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 as Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Niagara Branch hosts its 13th annual signature fundraising event, “Wellness for All” at the Ovation Ball Room, (formerly Club Castropignano), 1311 Egerter Road, Thorold.

“The whole community is invited to participate in this interactive and informative evening,” said Tara McKendrick, CMHA Niagara’s Executive Director. “As our largest annual fundraiser, the event proceeds are used to help fill service gaps and provide timely access to urgent, preventative, and crisis mental health and addictions services to people in Niagara.”

Over the past 12 years more than $300,000 in much-needed funding has been raised to support CMHA Niagara. “This year we have adopted a new event name, Wellness For All, to signify the welcoming of everyone in the community, ” said McKendrick.

“Attendees can expect delicious food, sweet treats, prizes, raffles, silent auction and fundraising activities, and this year we have partnered with the Willow Arts Community who will oversee a community art project, provide original musical entertainment, and create a unique piece of art to be auctioned live.”

The evening also includes a mental wellness panel, moderated by Caren Burt, owner of C.Burt & Associates. Individuals will share insights and information from the perspective of people with lived experience and panelists include: Life Unscripted radio host, Janice Arnoldi; CMHA Niagara’s Client and Family Advisory Committee member Karen Marie Dickson, and Willow Arts Community member Jo Barham.

Others participating in the evening’s activities include the evening’s emcee, Carrie Zefferio, of Armstrong Strategy Group, Willow Arts Community founder and director  Shauna MacLeod, story teller and poet Dani Hummel, artist and performing artist Colleen McTigue, and artist Katherine Sunita.

“Willow Arts Community is thrilled to be a part of this dynamic event with CMHA Niagara,” said Shauna MacLeod. “It’s an opportunity to connect with our community, share some of our personal stories, and demonstrate the talent and passion of our members.”

Tickets are $30 each and include an antipasto bar with a variety of choices, a chocolate fountain, coffee and tea. Rules and Regulations Raffle & Silent Auction 2024

By purchasing any tickets, silent auction or draws from the Wellness For All Fundraising Event 2024, the Purchaser acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules and regulations (“Rules”). “Purchaser” means a person: (i) purchasing a ticket(s) for his/her personal use; (ii) purchasing a ticket(s) on behalf of a group where the purchaser’s name and up to two additional names and/or a group name appear on all ticket(s), or (iii) purchasing a ticket that is allocated to a group of which the Purchaser is not a member. The Purchaser’s name shall always appear as the first name on any ticket purchased. All Purchasers are subject to these rules. The Wellness For All Event has no obligation or liability to any person named on a ticket other than the Purchaser. The liability of the Wellness For All Event shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to allocate the prize if necessary. Eligibility Ticket Purchasers and any other persons named on a ticket must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets must be purchased within the province of Ontario and cannot be mailed outside of Ontario. Only tickets that have been paid and verified as paid by the respective sales deadline are eligible. Tickets Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible. Prizes will be hand drawn. Prize Winner Notification All winners (in each case, the Purchaser named on the drawn ticket) will be posted on the event website, at the event and social media pages. Prize Claim Prizes will be awarded to the Purchaser named on the official ticket. By claiming a prize, the winner consents to the use of their likeness (photograph, if available), first and last name, ticket number, city or town of residence, video recording (when available only) and transcription/recording of the winner notification phone call to be used for any publicity purposes by the Wellness For All Fundraising Event. The Wellness For All Fundraising Event is only responsible for communicating with the Purchasers and is not responsible for any prize entitlement of any other individual(s). Prizes stated are retail value with taxes. Privacy We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We will use your personal information to administer and evaluate the Lottery, including contacting, announcing and promoting prize winners. In addition, we may maintain a record and share details of your interaction and contact information for donor-related, promotional, follow-up and tax receipting communications, where applicable. Occasionally, we may contact you for fundraising purposes or to provide you with mission-related or program-related communications (including telemarketing communications made using automatic dial-announcing device technology) and in accordance with the Women and Wellness Fundraising Event’s Privacy Policy.
