CMHA Niagara shares virtual care offerings for Digital Health Week

Digital Health Week

From November 29-December 5, CMHA Niagara joins organizations across the country in recognizing Digital Health Week, which acknowledges how digital health is transforming the delivery of care across Canada.

As the COVID-19 pandemic challenged traditional care models, service providers in mental health and addictions in Ontario had to adapt to these new and ever-changing circumstances to ensure that they could still deliver quality care to those who need support. As a result, CMHA branches across the province developed innovative practices and processes to overcome technological barriers and get Ontarians the care they need.

In response to COVID-19, service delivery modifications at CMHA Niagara were made in March 2020 for the safety and health of our clients, staff and community. As such, while our offices remain closed to walk-in counselling, we are still providing access to mental health support to our community. Clients with immediate mental health concerns may call for either a face-to-face appointment in our St. Catharines or Niagara Falls office, OR a telephone or video appointment. No referral is required. Call 905-641-5222 Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

CMHA branches across the country also operate online courses through Recovery Colleges, which provide a variety of mental health courses free of charge. Recovery Colleges are designed to be supportive learning environments, where everyone is welcome regardless of their mental health goals. Learn more and find a college near you on the CMHA National website.
